Your searches are private

Crito sees only the searches your AI client sends. It does not keep your search text, and it does not see your conversation.

What Crito sees

Your AI client, for example Claude or ChatGPT, decides when to call a Crito tool and what to send. Crito receives only that tool call: search text, a citation, a statute name, or a paragraph range. Crito returns source text, and your AI client writes the answer.

Crito does not see your conversation, your files, or the answer. Your AI provider’s privacy policy applies to those.

What Crito keeps

  • No search content: Crito does not keep your search text or results, use them to train AI models, or sell them. To find cases by meaning, Crito sends search text to an embedding provider.
  • Your account: your email address and sign-in data.
  • Your plan: subscription status and billing address. Stripe keeps your card details.
  • Basic usage: the tool name, time, and result of each call.

The website uses cookies only to keep you signed in. It has no analytics or advertising cookies. When you close your account, Crito deletes or de-identifies your personal information within 90 days.
